   - lived at 100 Ninth Avenue where my grandmother raised 6 daughters

   - my brother Tom Murphy was and still is my idol

   - graduated from St. Bernard's '61, Blessed Sacrament HS in '65, Berkeley Executive Business School in '66

   - worked at Random House in NYC in marketing (mostly for children's authors - Dr. Seuss, etc.)

   - married in 1968 and moved to Vermont in 1972 to 4 bedroom log home on 12 acres with pigs, chickens and organic garden 

   - 3 daughters (Jennifer, Jill and Katrina) and became a single parent

   - married David Laplante in 1985, a Parent Without Partner who had a 2 year old boy David Charles

   - a son, Christopher (now a senior in high school), with David  

   - taking a break after 20 years as Administrative Director of Healthcare Marketing for national company

   - enjoying Vermont lifestyle and traveling

   - bought and renovated husband's grandfather's home

   - love gourmet cooking and interfering in children's lives on a daily basis

   - Library Trustee, School Board Director, Organic Gardener and manage a small farm
 
   - favorite singers were Fabian, Chubby Checker (The Twist) and, especially, Jackie Wilson

   - favorite music now  are the Boston Pops with John Williams and Vermont Symphony Orchestra

   - enjoy the good life and paying attention to all those who are close
